What we do.
Formerly Baraka Youth Association, BCA is a community organisation founded for the benefit of children and young people living in West London, particularly those of Somali and other ethnic minority backgrounds. A rough translation of Baraka is ‘good luck’ or ‘blessing’.
Our principal aims include developing the physical, mental and educational capacities of young people so that they can grow to full maturity as individuals and integrated members of wider society, enriching their lives and increasing their educational and employment opportunities.
Our scope has expanded from providing supplementary schooling to engagement in the tri-Borough area on a range of community issues.
